Also known as Trystine or Bolivianite, Ametrine is a naturally occurring variety of quartz which is made of a mixture of Amethyst and Citrine. 

The colour zoning is caused by an oxidation of iron within the crystal which occurs under high heat. A lot of Ametrine is artificially grown using a hydrothermal method to heat Amethyst in a factory setting. Our Ametrine has been unearthed as natural Ametrine and is imported from Brazil.
