Rare Amethyst Stalactite Eye from Uruguay

These beauties are very rare and found in only a few places worldwide, ours have been sourced from Uruguay and are around 130 million years old.

The Stalacites (eye) forms over millions of years as water laden with calcium carbonate drips from the roof of caves. The water fills the cave, agate is formed and different rings are created from the different chemical compositions in the water. The Amethyst then grows over the outside. In these pieces, the stalactite has been cut to show the beautiful ring.
